What replaces Glint’s automatic reports and manager rollouts

Glint leavers are rarely worried about surveys. They are worried about losing the reporting automation that kept a small HR team out of the critical path. This page is about that.

Automation

What Glint’s reporting actually does

Reporting automation is Glint’s strongest feature

Reports are generated per manager and filtered, with confidentiality rules deciding what each manager sees, and no admin has to intervene in any of it.

Microsoft Learn

What that buys a small team

A manager at a 13,000-associate company says it allows a small team not to be a bottleneck in getting impactful results directly to managers. That is the job this page has to cover.

The replacement is a different model

There is no automatic per-manager report generation here and no scheduled delivery. The only automation documented is reminders. What exists instead is next.

What each manager sees

  • By default a manager sees scores, trends and the heatmap for their team. Free-text comments are included as well, subject to the response threshold. That is the starting position before anyone touches a single control.
  • Fourteen documented controls can hide things from that view. Free text, the heatmap, strengths and weaknesses, action creation, comment and benchmark exports, the Org Score column, sentiment and benchmark cards and the direct-reports toggle among them.
  • There is no per-manager override, and a Glint admin will ask. Every one of those controls is set by the Account Admin for the whole account. Better to read that here than to find it while configuring your first cycle.
Three different minimums apply, and they are not interchangeable. A manager needs three reportees before access can be switched on. An anonymous survey needs three responses. Manager-dashboard cards default to five, which is adjustable but never below three. Quoting one of those three as though it governed the others is the commonest mistake in this subject.
Enablement

Helping managers read their results

  • One prospect asked whether Glint’s manager interpretation guide could be matched. What exists is a written manager guide with a six-step process for reading a result and acting on it, an Action Plan Repository, and Coach suggested actions.
  • The guide gives managers two thresholds to read their own numbers against. A strength scores 8.0 or above and a focus area scores 7.0 or below. Managers with a rule stop asking whether a score is good.
  • Live manager training is not documented, so this page does not promise it. The trainings listed on the pricing page are scoped to accounts under two hundred employees.
Formats

What you actually get, and who can run it

  • Export to PPTX exists, and that is worth stating plainly. There is a standard export and an advanced one, and the advanced one compares side by side against a previous survey.
  • PDF is the narrowest of the three by role, not the widest. It reaches top-level admins only, with no toggle for managers or sub-admins, while PowerPoint has three separate switches covering admin, sub-admin and manager.
  • PowerPoint, PDF and the Word summary are all beta and off by default. They are enabled per account and per role. Never assume a format is on: check which switches your account holds before you promise anyone a board pack.

Cadence

Your first three reporting cycles

  • Cycle one is where an admin does the most by hand. Results are released, every manager dashboard opens on its own, and you message managers to say they are live. Glint wrote that message for you. Here you write it.
  • By cycle two the only manual step left is the document run. If leadership wants a deck, or a PDF for each manager, an admin runs the batch export. Reminders are the one part that runs itself.
  • By cycle three the honest comparison is fewer steps, not zero steps. You lose the automatic report push and gain a dashboard nobody distributes. Work out now which of those your managers actually used.
None of this is a claim of parity with Glint’s report automation. A page that says here is how it works differently, and here is what you do on day one, is more useful to a Glint admin than one claiming a match it cannot hold. If report automation is the main reason you are moving, bring the report your managers get today and we will walk through what replaces each part of it.

Reports and dashboards

Every format, role and status below is taken from the Help Center.

What replaces Glint's per-manager report generation?
Glint generates a report for each manager automatically. CultureMonkey works differently: every manager gets a live dashboard the moment results are released, with no admin distribution step, and admins can batch-generate one PDF per manager on top. There is no scheduled or recurring report delivery.
Does CultureMonkey generate a report for each manager automatically?
Not as a generated document. Each manager gets their own live dashboard automatically the moment results are released, with no admin distribution step. Admins can separately batch-generate one PDF per manager. There is no scheduled or recurring report delivery of any kind.
Can you export reports to PowerPoint?
Yes, in a standard and an advanced form, the advanced one adding custom labels, AI insights and a side-by-side comparison against a previous survey. It is beta and off by default, enabled per account, with separate switches for admin, sub-admin and manager.
What does a manager see by default?
Scores, trends, the heatmap and, subject to the response threshold, the free-text comments for their own team. Fourteen documented controls can hide individual elements, and every one of them is set account-wide by the Account Admin with no per-manager override.
What is the minimum team size for a manager to see results?
Three different numbers apply and they are not interchangeable. A manager needs three reportees before access can be switched on. An anonymous survey needs three responses. Manager-dashboard cards default to five, which is adjustable but never below three.
Is live manager training included?
Not documented, so treat them as unavailable. What is documented is a written manager guide with a six-step process and interpretation thresholds, an Action Plan Repository, and Coach suggested actions. Trainings are listed only for accounts under two hundred employees.
