Anonymous Employee Feedback Tool

Anonymity employees
actually believe

Your people don't doubt that anonymity matters. They doubt that your survey tool delivers it. CultureMonkey provides admin-proof anonymity with configurable thresholds, so employees share what they really think.

How it works

Anonymous by architecture, not just policy

Thresholds

Small teams stay protected automatically

Set a minimum response threshold per survey and per team
(default: 5). If a group has fewer responses, results roll up to the next level of your org structure automatically. Managers still get directional insights through aggregated data without anyone being singled out.

Third-party advantage

Employees trust what HR doesn't control

When your HRIS or Microsoft 365 tenant runs the survey, employees question whether responses are truly anonymous. A dedicated third-party tool provides architectural separation: responses never touch your HR systems, identity is never stored, and visible threshold controls provide proof employees can see. That separation is what closes the belief gap.

Anonymous chat

Follow up without unmasking anyone

Reply to anonymous feedback with clarifying questions. The employee sees your message and can respond, all while their identity stays hidden. The employee controls the conversation: they can stop replying at any time. No forced de-anonymization, ever. Address sensitive issues with care and build trust through action.

Segmentation

Cut by department, region, tenure: no one singled out

Slice engagement data by any demographic dimension. The same threshold guard applies to every cut: if a segment is too small, it's suppressed. You get organizational hotspot visibility, employees get confidence that collecting their department doesn't mean collecting their identity.

Per-survey control

Identity unlocks only for exit and onboarding

Every engagement and pulse survey is anonymous: no one sees individual responses. Only exit and onboarding can be set to identified, visible to the super-admin alone. You choose per survey. Role-based access handles the rest.

Security and compliance

Enterprise-grade, anonymity-first

Encryption at rest and in transit
Survey responses encrypted the moment they leave the employee's device and stay encrypted in storage. No plaintext data at any point in the pipeline. Hosted on certified, audited infrastructure.
GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001
Independently audited against all three standards. EU data residency available for organizations with regional compliance requirements. Full audit trails for HR, IT, and legal teams.
Anonymized data export
Export engagement data to Excel, CSV, or PDF, and push to Power BI. Every export respects anonymity thresholds: if a group is too small to show in the dashboard, it stays hidden in the export too.
Multi-channel delivery
WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, email, SMS, QR codes, and kiosks. Surveys reach every employee segment in the same cycle. Per-channel participation tracked so you know what works for your workforce.
Anonymous reminders
Automated reminders nudge non-respondents across channels and timezones. The system knows who hasn't responded but never exposes that to anyone. Admins see only aggregate completion rates.
Verified anonymous access
Each survey link is validated by a unique code or employee ID, so only the right person can respond, once. The validation confirms eligibility without storing identity alongside the response.

Lisa Watts, Astra Service Partners
We were surveying every twice a year and really not doing anything with it. Switching to CultureMonkey, now I can see engagement down to the manager level. A completely different world.

Frequently asked questions

No. Anonymous surveys on CultureMonkey cannot be traced back to any individual employee. Respondent identity is never stored, so neither HR, the super-admin, nor anyone on the backend can see who submitted a response. Responses are encrypted at rest and in transit, and configurable response thresholds suppress results for groups below the minimum (default 5). Unlike tools that claim anonymity through policy alone, CultureMonkey makes tracing architecturally impossible: no IP logging, no device fingerprinting, no identity correlation at any layer.
